Tree Service Company Owner Looking for Stolen Equipment

FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. (WDEF)- One small business owner in Catoosa County is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to his company’s equipment being returned to him.

Craig Burchfield has owned ASAP Tree Service in Fort Oglethrope at 1999 Dietz Road for 20 years. He says that on September 27, somebody stole his company’s 1999 white GMC Sierra pickup truck, and a stump grinder attached to it. Burchfield admits to leaving his keys inside of his truck, but says that nothing like this has ever happened to him in the area.

He said that, “I’ve lived here for 20 years and I felt safe living here. I haven’t had anything stolen from me. My family lives close by also. I’m just devastated. I just want my stump grinder and my pickup truck back.”

Burchfield is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the return of ASAP Tree Service’s equipment. He says that he has received calls about people spotting the equipment, but has unable to track it down at this time. The equipment has the company’s name on both the truck and stump grinder.

If you spot this equipment or have any other information that could help Mr. Burchfield and ASAP Tree Service recover their equipment, you can give them a call at 706-858-8517. You can also contact the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department with information as well.
