Trees fell on 100 year old home in Rossville

Rossville, Georgia (WDEF) – With the help of neighbors, Lucas Murphy and his grandfather are cleaning up the debris from yesterday’s thunderstorm at their Rossville home.

The storm hit the area at mid-afternoon and knocked two trees down on the 100 year old house on Chambers street.

The two men in the home were not hurt and escaped out a back door.

But two trees fell on the front porch and damaged a bedroom and a vehicle in the drive.

There’s no damage estimate, but volunteers have been working since then to get the trees cut up.

It was one of several incidents reported during the height of the storm.
