Tributes & mourning for Lookout Valley student J. T. Pruitt

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Fellow students are mourning the loss of Lookout Valley teenager J.T. Pruitt this morning in an accident.

The 17 year old high school senior was killed while riding a bike to school before 7 AM.

The Pruitt’s are part of the church family of Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene.

The church will be open this evening from 6:30-8:30 for community prayer.

A Go Fund Me campaign has been set up to pay for burial expenses.

They are about a quarter of the way to their $5,000 goal.

Students were told about J.T.’s loss this morning around 8 AM.

Counselors were available all day.
