Trion man injures autistic child

LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF) – LaFayette Police say a Trion man abused an autistic child.

According to police, 33-year-old Gordon Brown was caring for his sister-in-law’s son when the incident happened.

Witnesses reportedly told police Gordon bruised the child by holding him down by the throat and whipping him.

Police say the child was taken to a local hospital.

Brown has been charged with cruelty to a child.
