Two fire calls in 15 minutes for Red Bank Fire

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – In under 15 minutes, the Red Bank Fire Department responded to two separate residential fire calls this evening.

The first came in at 6:48 pm for a possible residential fire on Antelope Trail, but fire officials say that call turned out to be a false call.

Hamilton County officials say that when the firefighters got back to the station, they were informed by a citizen at the station of a residential fire on West Newberry Street.

Officials say firefighters found a small fire on a front porch that they quickly extinguished.

According to officials, the owner awoke to the smell of smoke in the home and walked out on to the porch to find firefighters already working to put out the fire.

Fire officials say the damages are $3,000 – $4,000 and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time according to officials.

As the second fire was reported at the station, the Red Bank Fire Department wants to remind citizens to call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency rather than coming to the fire station.
