Two killed in late night wreck in Fort Payne

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – Two young men died in a crash just before midnight in Fort Payne.

Police say the driver of a Chevy Tahoe lost control on Godfrey Avenue South and hit a tree.

The vehicle ended up in a resident’s yard.

The driver, 22 year old Gage LaMichael Howard and passenger, 24 year old Kelsey Ashton Smith, were killed.

The wreck is under investigation.
