Two Mocs Football Players Named AP All-Americans
(GoMocs.com) Two members of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team were named to the Associated Press All-American team today. Senior Corey Levin and Keionta Davis both made the second team for the second year in a row.
Levin, a four-year starter on the offensive line, joins Davis Tull (2011-14), Pumpy Tudors (1988-91), Carey Henley (1959-61) and Billy Butler (1956-58) as the only three-time All-Americans in school history. He started 51 games in his career, mostly at left guard. The Dacula, Ga., native was a two-time winner of the Jacobs Blocking Award given to the top offensive lineman in the Southern Conference.
Davis is a two-time All-American who led the SoCon with 10.5 sacks. The 2016 SoCon Defensive Player of the Year finished his career second all-time at UTC with 31.0 sacks. The Chattanooga native finished ninth in the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award and has been invited to the prestigious Reese’s Senior Bowl in January.
