Two pedestrians struck by vehicles Friday
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Two pedestrians were struck by vehicles on Friday, police said. The first happened early Friday morning, and the second happened Friday afternoon.
A vehicle struck a pedestrian early Friday morning, and the Chattanooga Police Department found the man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
A 38-year-old man was hit by a vehicle at 1900 Market Street in the southside of Chattanooga. The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on Friday.
First responders took the man to a local hospital. However, the man’s current condition has not been revealed.
Police said no charges have been filed yet.
CPD is investigating this incident.
In the second incident, a vehicle struck a pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, CPD said. They are still trying to gather a vehicle description.
Police said this happened around 3:15 p.m. at 1419 Greenwood Road.
When police arrived, the pedestrian had non-life-threatening injuries.
Police gave the victim first aid before medical personnel arrived. The victim was taken to a medical facility for treatment, according to CPD.
