Two people killed in Sunday morning shooting on Hixson Pike

5:32 pm Update CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police says the woman who was killed was found lying in the parking lot from an apparent gunshot wound.

She has been identified as 48 year old Kimberly Phillips.

They say that, also in the same parking lot, officers found a male in a vehicle suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He, Frederick Tragresser, has been identified as a suspect.

Through their investigation, police determined that the male shot the female, then shot himself.

Investigators say the two deceased parties were divorced from each other.

It happened shortly after 10 am at the Shells gas station at Hixson Pike and Brookaire.

Chattanooga Police say when they arrived on scene they found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was transported to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries later.
