Ukrainian Refugees getting aid in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF)-As Ukrainian Refugees continue to flee the war communities like those in Cleveland are aiding those in need.

The Providence Haven Mission says there are more than 50 refugees in the Cleveland area and there are more in need.

Tonight and next Saturday the mission is providing meals to people in the community as a means to raise money to help Ukrainians in need.

Providence Haven Mission board member Inna Skotsen says this money is needed to help save lives.

“Our members of our church, we’re doing everything we can step in together with them to help families combine together in one to help them,” said Skotsen.

The event will be held May 14th at 131 Baldwin St SE, Cleveland, TN. 37323.
