Undetermined cause of house fire in LaFayette

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – Investigators are looking into the cause of a house fire in LaFayette on Monday.

It happened at a home in the 700 block of Henderson Street just before 5 PM.

The residents were not home at the time, so no one was injured.

But a family dog may have been lost in the fire.

The LaFayette Fire Department with the Georgia Department of Corrections Fire Rescue and LaFayette Police Department put the fire out.
