Union claims Mueller Water Products unfairly fired them
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Union members at Mueller Water Products in Chattanooga say they have been unjustly fired.
Several affected workers of United Steelworkers 3115 voiced their frustrations in front of the water plant Tuesday morning.
They say despite a recent collective bargaining agreement between them and Mueller, dozens of the union’s workers have been recently laid off.

They claimed Mueller has subjected union members to unfair policies, requests for irrelevant information, and believes they are being specifically targeted as members of a union.
Elvin Bacon, the Vice President of United Steelworkers 3115, said, “If we allow this to happen, it could also hurt future guys from being able to be employed here at the company, and it could also affect the guys who are still inside the facility. We don’t want that.”
News 12 has reached out to Mueller for their response to these allegations and has not heard back yet.
