Update on Cash Advance holdup in Lookout Valley
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) Chattanooga police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who held up a local cash and check advance business.
It happened yesterday morning in the 3500 block of Cummings Highway.
According to investigators, the American Trust Cash Advance was robbed at gun point when two men entered the business and started demanding money.
One suspect duct-taped an employee’s hands and locked her in a bathroom.
Another employee was also forced into the bathroom while the robbers took a large amount of money.
Investigator Wilbert McLean Jr said the thieves seemed to be experienced and prepared.
A local man wants you to know that he had no part in that robbery.
Andre Cimo says his pickup truck was stolen two days ago.
It was recovered Monday afternoon not far from the robbery.
But then he found a picture of his truck on the news last night as the suspect vehicle.
Cimo told us he left the truck behind Big Chill to work out.
He came back to see someone driving off in it.
Now Andre has his truck back, but he hopes he won’t be pulled over at gunpoint for what the thief did with it.
