UPDATE: Chattanooga SWAT Standoff
The suspect involved in a 5 hour SWAT standoff is now in custody
Chattanooga Police responded to East 28th Street Sunday evening around 7:30PM
They say a robbery suspect barricaded himself.
The suspect was wanted in connection with an incident committed in East Ridge.
East 28th Street was closed down between the 1800 block and 2200 blocks.
Some homes were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
The Chattanooga Police Department SWAT and HNT Units are assisting the East Ridge Police in the apprehension of a barricaded robbery suspect Sunday night.
Chattanooga Police responded to East 28th Street where a robbery suspect has barricaded himself. The suspect is wanted in connection with an incident committed in East Ridge. East 28th Street is closed down between the 18-hundred and 22-hundred block and some homes have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
