Update: on stabbing in Cleveland

Cleveland, TN (WDEF)- Cleveland Police say at 7:26pm, a call came into the 911 communications center of a stabbing at 2086 Wynwood Drive #3. Cleveland Police Department Officers responded within 4 minutes of the call and found the suspect still inside the apartment.

Officers took the Hispanic male in custody. Three victims, (two females, one male) suffering from severe stab wounds, were in the apartment. Two female victims were transported by LifeForce to Erlanger. The male victim was transported by EMS to SkyRide.

The suspect was indentified as Vicente Ramirez Fernandez, was interviewed by Criminal Investigations Divisions Detective Andy Wattenbarger. Fernandez was transported to the Bradley County Justice Center and will be charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.

Three small children were present in the home and are currently in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services.

The incident was domestic related. The investigation is ongoing. A booking photo will be released as soon as it’s available.
