Urban League, Unum hold job fair
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Urban League held a job fair on Tuesday.
The fair, held in conjunction with Unum, was designed to help facilitate all facets of a job application.
From building resumes to interviews, Urban League says they’ve had a number of interviewees at previous land jobs without a college degree.
The clients ranged in age from youth to those looking for a career change.
One job seeker,Patrick Hereford, said, “I wouldn’t know about this if it wasn’t for them. It is always just beneficial to have an organization like the Urban League that’s promoting opportunities especially for disadvantaged communities, giving opportunities and middle aged like myself, I don’t look it but I’m an old man.”
Employers such as Hamilton County Schools, Rock City, and the Orange Grove Center were present at the fair.
