UTC Launches ‘I Am Enough’ Campaign

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – I am enough.

That’s the message a group of UTC students want to get out to other women on campus.

It’s a new campaign to help women develop a healthy body image, mind, and relationship.I know especially with media today out there, it’s been a serious struggle to have a healthy body image because you see all these photoshop photos on cosmopolitan and vogue and we just really wanted to express to women that they are enough as individuals."

Kappa Delta Sorority’s Confidence Coalition Project helped fund this brand new initiative.

There are four days of events.

They include yoga and self-defense classes, along with a presentation tonight by a body image activist.

Starting at 7:30 p.m., in the UTC auditorium, Kjerstin Gruys will be talking about how she went one year without looking in the mirror.

Organizers hope these events will help a lot of women who are struggling with their self image.
