Victim suffers minor burns in Red Bank apartment fire

RED BANK, Tennessee (WDEF) – A person has been sent to the hospital after an apartment fire in Red Bank.

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to the call on Dayton Boulevard above Gadd Road just after noon.

They found heavy smoke coming from the vents of the apartment.

They got the fire under control within twenty minutes.

An adult suffered minor burns and a toddler was checked out for smoke inhalation, but not transported.

One apartment was destroyed, and two others damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
