Video shows incident between teacher and student at LFO

A screenshot of a confrontation between two faculty members and a LFO student. One of the teachers involved, Kimberly Malone, was charged with cruelty to children.
FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. (WDEF)- We have obtained video of an incident that led to the arrest of a Catoosa County teacher.
This video was provided to us by Catoosa County Schools from a surveillance camera at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.
The video shows two faculty members, including teacher Kimberly Malone, trying to prevent a LFO student from leaving campus.
Malone is seen grabbing the student’s backpack and placing her back into the building, leading to what appears to be a jacket falling to the ground.
An argument ensues leading to the student shoving Malone.
After further attempts to keep the student in the building failed, including the student taking a swing to free themselves, the student is seen walking away.
Malone was charged with one count of cruelty to children, but it is unclear what led up to this incident.
Malone’s attorney, Tonya Craft, maintains that she was doing her job and that the investigation into the incident was not properly handled.
