Virtual Healing for the Holiday with Welcome Home of Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)- People usually look forward to the holiday season for many reasons including seeing family.

But the holiday season can be tough on people who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Welcome Home of Chattanooga invited the public to come out today virtual to be together for one another during a tough part of the holiday season.

They said a Healing for the Holiday session allows people to share their grief and be supported by others.

“For some people, they prefer in-person but for others. With the virtual option, some can feel safer. It’s more flexible so people can choose to have their camera on or off, they can choose to participate or just a lesson so it really does allow for customization based on what the person is participating needs and feels up to you in a moment. Being online and I think people are getting more comfortable with it so. Depending on where somebody is in the cycle of grief it may be more comfortable for them to do something like that online in the comfort of their own home,” said Sarah.

The virtual session was held Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
