Volkswagen & The Conservation Fund Announce New Conservation Mural in Downtown Chattanooga

Volkswagen has unveiled a conservation – inspired mural in downtown Chattanooga on Earth Day. Last year, Volkswagen and The Conservation Fund awarded five charitable organizations grants in eastern Tennessee to enhance environmental learning.

This mural was the product of the Cherokee National Forest and artist, Steffi Lynn. The mural, located on Broad & Aquarium Street, features the phrase ‘ Change Starts in your Own Backyard’. It includes four native flowers to the Cherokee National Forest.

Nicole Redding | Lifestyle & Innovation Comm. Manager – Volkswagen says, “Steffi Lynn went out to the Cherokee National Forest, got inspired by the environment and created a really beautiful piece that we think Chattanooga residents and the community is hopefully enjoying seeing out there.”

In addition to these conservation efforts, Volkswagen’s new electric vehicle just earned the ‘World Car of the Year’ award. This vehicle will be made in Chattanooga by next year.
