CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Investors say it’s time for Volkswagen to pay up for their cheating emissions scandal.
They want just over 9 billion dollars in damages for the losses they sustained as a result of the automaker’s massive diesel emissions scandal.
About 40-percent of the company’s market value was wiped out.
A year ago… Volkswagen admitted fitting as many as 11 million diesel vehicles worldwide with software that could cheat emissions tests.
It only came forward after the U-S. Environmental protection agency alerted the world to the issue.
