Vols Bowl Game in Nashville Becomes a Homecoming For a Few Tennessee Players

Tennessee held their first practice session in Nashville on Tuesday as they get ready for Friday’s Music City Bowl against Nebraska.
The game will certainly feel like a homecoming for many of the Vols players since they grew up in Nashville.
Head coach Butch Jones has made the mid-state area a big emphasis in recruiting.
All SEC defensive end Derek Barnett hails from Nashville, along with offensive lineman Jashon Roberston
The Vols are even practicing this week at Robertson’s high school alma mater in Montgomery Bell Academy.
Robertson admits this is a unique bowl experience.
Said Robertson:”I took a couple of my boys to my crib last night and my mom, she made a nice little meal for us, so we enjoyed that and enjoyed that time.”
Reporter:”Are you playing tour guide with your teammates or do you have any time for that?”
Said Barnett:”Everybody is asking me where to eat at and where to go. I’ve been telling them a few spots. They’ve been having a good time. We’re looking to have a great rest of the week, but we’re here to come to win.”
