Voter registration deadline is July 7

The last day to register to vote for the August 6th State and Federal Primary and County General Election is Tuesday, July 7th, according to the Hamilton County Election Commission.

They say residents may register online at https://ovr.govote.tn.gov/ or in person at the Hamilton County Election Commission, 700 River Terminal Road, Chattanooga.

In order to register to vote, you must be a U.S. Citizen, a resident of Tennessee, and at least 18- years-old on or before August 6th. If you’ve been convicted of a felony, you must get a court order to get your voting rights restored before you can register to vote.

The Early Voting period begins July 17th and runs through August 1st. The last day to request an absentee ballot is July 27th.
