VW Seeks Production Workers, Offers Increased Wages

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee– Aerotek, a leading provider of recruiting and staffing services, announced today that the company is looking to fill 400 production worker positions in Chattanooga at the Volkswagen manufacturing facility. The company has also announced an increase in the starting wage for all current and future production workers at the plant, bringing the starting pay to an average of $14.50 per hour with the potential to make an average of $17 per hour after one year of employment.

Aerotek has been hiring hundreds of production workers over the past few months to work on the new Atlas SUV vehicle, and hopes that the wage increase will attract the best talent and entice more job seekers to apply.

“This has been a hugely successful hiring initiative, allowing Aerotek to bring more than 1000 jobs to the local community,” said Lucas Hiler, Aerotek spokesperson. “The wage increase is great news, and we expect it will help draw in a larger talent pool of qualified candidates to fill the remaining positions with Volkswagen.”

Job requirements include the ability to:

  • Accommodate rotating shifts, including overtime
  • Perform repetitive bending, squatting and twisting

Interested candidates should call the local Aerotek office for more information at 423-242-2620, or visit www.aerotektn.com to apply.
