W Road closing due to slope stabilization from previous rock slide

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The W Road will be closing for a couple weeks due to slope stabilization.

The Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security announced the closing on Facebook.

This work is due to a rock slide that occurred May 19.

Starting Monday, October 14, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. is when the work begins.

Drivers should plan ahead to use Signal Mountain Boulevard/ Taft Highway or Roberts Mill Road.

This project is expected to last until November 4, 2024.

Residents that live on the W Road will have access to their residences.

Access to Walden’s Ridge Park will also be open.
