Wacker Plant Commits to Safety Excellence with Major Investments
Wacker plant announced significant investments aimed to enhancing plant safety.
As a part of their “We Care Week,” project leader Stephiane Graff has dedicated activities throughout the week including mental health checkups, and safety demonstrations.
“We are touching on this week the emotional, mental, physical and financial health. We have offered up options in all of those categories for any team member that wants to participate,” said Graff.
Additionally, to promote workplace safety, Wacker has announced their multimillion-dollar investment with an on-site medical clinic and a purchase of a new aerial ladder fire truck to support their safety efforts.
“In addition to the new ladder truck, we have a much greater focus of safety at Wacker Charleston, and we have now a vision that we’ve stated a couple years back now to be the world’s safest chemical site,” said Scott Borst Director of Silicone Operations.
This proactive approach not only enhances employee safety but highlights the dedication of maintaining proper health and safe working environments.
