Walker County Sheriff’s Office warns of fake callers

WALKER COUNTY — The Walker County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) says they have received multiple calls regarding someone identifying themselves as an employee or officer with their agency and advising that they’ve missed jury duty and have a warrant.
The callers are also able to make it look like the call is coming from our main line at the office.
WCSO says their agency does not operate this way.
They ask individuals to not give any personal information and do not send any money to anyone you do not know.
