Walker Sheriff fires deputy for having sex with woman he was transporting

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – A Walker County deputy has been fired after being arrested for sexual misconduct.

Wesley Holland faces charges of Sexual assault by a person with authority, Sodomy and Violation of Oath.

A GBI investigation found that Deputy Holland was transporting a female from Ft.Oglethorpe to Dunwoody Georgia on April 30th.

Investigators say he stopped the patrol car once he got into Gordon County and engaged in a sexual act with the woman.

She reported it to the Dunwoody Police department.

Sheriff Steve Wilson fired Holland before he was booked at the Gordon County detention center on Thursday.
