Walker Valley’s Carissa Frost Makes Spectacular Catch at Spring Fling

Walker Valley left fielder Carrissa Frost made a spectacular catch against Powell on Friday at Spring Fling in Murfreesboro. Powell’s Kennedy Cowan hit a deep shot to left. Frost made a leaping grab at the flexible, outfield fence. After making the catch, Frost tumbled over the fence before popping up with the great grab. That defensive play helped Walker Valley beat Powell 7-6, forcing one more game for the state title, and the Panthers won the second contest 2-1 to claim the AAA state crown.
