Walnut Road to Close for Sewer Installation

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Walnut Road will be closed from Monday, February 16, 2026, through Friday, March 6, 2026 to allow for sewer installation work.

The closure will be in effect on Walnut Road between Hickory Avenue and Daisy Dallas Road, according to the Office of the Hamilton County Mayor.

During this time, Daisy Dallas Road will be reduced to a single lane but will remain open to traffic.

They say motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to avoid the area if possible by using alternate routes.

Detour Routes:
Walnut Road → Central Drive → Hale Road → Daisy Dallas Road
or
Middle Valley Road → Daisy Dallas Road

Residents within the affected area will continue to have access to and from their homes.

Emergency services will also maintain full access throughout the duration of the closure.
