ATLANTA (WDEF)- Both candidates for the United States Senate in Georgia released their second quarter election fundraising contributions as they prepare to face off in the November general election. According to both campaigns, both incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker raised millions of dollars over the past three months.

Walker raised nearly $6.2 million dollars over the second quarter. These donations come from nearly 70,000 donors from every state. Their campaign has nearly $7 million currently at their disposal.

Warnock raised $17.2 million over the same time period. These donations come from over 258,000 donors, with an average donation of $37. Their campaign currently has about $22.2 million dollars at their disposal.

Both campaigns released statements claiming that their numbers signify momentum for the months ahead. This race is expected to be one of the most pivotal in the country that will decide the balance of power in the Senate. The general election is on November 8 and early voting in Georgia starts on October 11.
