Was Ft. Payne Woman Hit By A Car Or Meet Some Other Fate?

Ft. Payne, AL (WDEF) – Investigators in Ft. Payne Alabama are trying to figure out how a woman died early Monday morning.

They found her body lying in the road at 106 10th Street SW.

But they are unsure if she was hit by a vehicle or died for some other reason.

Police identify the woman as 54- year old Angela Kay Mitchell.

They have sent her body to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy.
