Several times a year a worker, or homeowner will accidentally cut a utility line here in the tri-state area.
Last year on Market street, a work crew struck a natural gas line and it disrupted traffic and the business day for about three hours.
Chattanooga Gas Company officials tell us private citizens can also be careless about those buried utilities on their property.
That’s why April is called "National Safe Digging Month".
LARRY BUIE, REGIONAL DIRECTOR, CHATTANOOGA GAS COMPANY
