COLUMBIA, Tennessee (WDEF) – No new leads or sightings over the weekend of Tad Cummins or Elizabeth Thomas.
But the net is being spread wider.
National Bolos have been issued for the former teacher suspected of abducting the 15 year old student last Monday morning.
TBI investigators said over the weekend they have not gotten tips from 24 states, but none have turned into anything.
And they could be anywhere.
“He potentially may have them sleeping in the vehicle or Cummins may have driven them far away from Tennessee to a rural community. Having now been on the run for more than five days, Cummins may have taken her, frankly, anywhere,” a weekend Amber Alert update said.
A lawyer for the Thomas family described Cummins as “obviously a man who is not in control of his faculties.”
