Whitwell couple booked in Chattanooga for prostitution.

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – People being arrested or cited for prostitution is nothing new but seeing a married couple engaged in alleged prostitution is something the police say is very bazaar.

Andrew Gee, 27 and Tamara Gee, 20 were both cited and charged with prostitution after they were caught  during a Chattanooga police internet prostitution sting.

According to the undercover officer, the married couple posted ads on the internet to attract customers.

"Its an unusual  case. It doesn’t happen as much as regular prostitution would," said the officer.

Both are from Whitwell and according to police, both wanted the undercover officer to pay them $250 for sex but that it would cost an additional $50 for them to travel to Chattanooga. When they they agreed to provide services to the officer at a downtown Chattanooga hotel, the final cost was $300.

The officer told WDEF the couple admitted that prostitution was one of their businesses.

Both are due in court November 3.
