Winners of fire safety posters announced at Fire Prevention Week Awards

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department held it’s annual Fire Prevention Week Awards at the downtown public library this morning.

At the ceremony, the Fire Marshal and the Assistant Fire Marshal announced the winners of the Fire Safety Poster Contest.

The winning posters were the ones that best illustrated this year’s fire safety theme, which stated “Every second counts. Plan 2 ways out.”

The Best Of Show Award went to a 10th grade student at Boyd Buchanan School.
