Wintry Weather Moving In: Tuesday PM Update

Tennessee Valley (WDEF) The winter storm is beginning to take shape over Texas.

After lows in the 20’s more clouds will roll in for Wednesday.

Areas of snow, mixing with some rain early will move in from the south and west.

The greatest coverage of snow will be from Wednesday evening through the first half of the night.

The heavier precipitation will be across North Georgia and North Alabama.

Heavier accumulations of snow at this time appear to be to our south, and lighter accumulations to our north.

Temperatures during most of this snow event will be near or just above freezing.

That may help us initially with road conditions, but as we move through the night though travel will become more hazardous.

On a brighter note, a pattern change is expected later in the weekend and next week with warmer temperatures.
