Woman Killed on Sand Mountain in Domestic Fight

Crossville, AL (WDEF) – Jackson County, AL Sheriff Jimmy Harris says it looks like a domestic fight at a home near Crossville.

On Thursday night around 9:30, deputies found a man stabbed and a woman shot at the home on Highway 227 in Rhoden.

49 year old Donna Andrews Osborn of Rainsville was taken to the hospital where she later died from gunshot wounds.

63-year old Johnny Osborn of Crossville was transported to Marshall medical South with stab wounds.

Investigators say say they were married, but estranged.

The District Attorney has ordered an autopsy and the incident remains under investigation. 

Sheriff Harris says “this is a tragic incident that has occurred. Domestic violence is a common occurrence in America and in Alabama. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Donna Osborn.”
