Woman suffers burns from morning fire in Birchwood

BIRCHWOOD, Tennessee (WDEF) – A 62 year old woman suffered minor burns in a fire at her home in Birchwood on Monday.

It happened around 9:30 AM at a mobile home on Grasshopper Road.

The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department found a bedroom on fire.

The woman was treated on the scene and did not go to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
