UPDATE: HCSO releases info on officer-involved shooting
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about an Officer Involved Shooting that occurred August 14th on Rossville Boulevard.
After weeks of investigating, local agencies say the Hamilton County Grand Jury handed down indictments yesterday, charging 45 year old David Alan Wooten with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of reckless endangerment, and one court of evading arrest.
This, after Wooten was shot during an altercation with Law Enforcement officers.
He was treated for his injuries and released.
Wooten was arrested again today.
Bond is set at 40-thousand dollars.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has identified 44-year-old David Alan Wooten as the suspect involved in an officer exchanged fire at a traffic stop August 14th.
Wooten was shot during the altercation with law enforcement.
He was then booked into the Hamilton County Jail on September 1, 2017 on unrelated charges.

This investigation is still on-going, therefore, no other information will be released at this time. When the investigation is complete the findings will be turned over to the District Attorney for review.
