Wyoming Transfer Joe Parker Shining Early For Chattanooga Mocs

Chattanooga-(WDEF) Wyoming transfer Joe Parker has turned into a go-to receiver early on for Chattanooga.
Last week against LSU, Parker had 104 yards receiving. It’s the first time a UTC wide-out has posted 100 yards receiving against a Power 5 team since 1982.
Joe Parker says it is a dream to be playing for head coach Tom Arth and the Chattanooga Mocs.
Said Parker:”There’s no place better in the country than you could be right now. These coaches and this coaching staff, they’re all so professional from top to bottom. I mean it’s crazy how professional everything is.”
Reporter:”What has been different culturally from Wyoming to Chattanooga?”
Said Parker:”There’s a lot. Let me tell you. The food down here is amazing. Wow.”
Coach Arth has enjoyed seeing Parker try to feast on defenses.
Said Arth:”In the first couple of games, he has made some really big plays for us. He has converted some third downs for us. Made some really good catches. Shown the ability to go and get the ball as well for a smaller guy.”
Yeah Parker is only 5’10, 185-pounds.
Said Arth:”I think first and foremost with Joe, he loves football. He loves to compete. He understands the game. His football intelligence is very high.”
The highlight of Parker’s 100-yard performance against LSU was a 67-yard reception.
Said Arth:”Yeah. Did Joe have a hundred yards versus LSU? Did he really? Good for him. Yeah Joe like I said, he has played at a high level. We are excited to continue to have the opportunity to coach him. Again I think like everybody else in our program, he’s only going to continue to improve with more experience and opportunities he has within our offense.”
Said Parker:”It definitely was. It has been a long time coming. I’ve been waiting for this type of stuff my entire life.”
