19-year old arrested for assaulting three women and unborn child

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – Three women and an unborn child were reportedly assaulted by man who is now in police custody.

According to the arrest affidavit, Jaqua Davenport, 19, of Chattanooga physically assaulted the women on Monday in the 2300 block of Windsor Street. 

One of the victims told police that Davenport was flirting with the three of them the day before. But on Monday, he reportedly arrived at the Windsor Terrace Apartments and started a verbal altercation with all three women.

The women told police the verbal altercation became physical when Davenport reportedly started pushing them to the ground.

One of the women who is seven months pregnant was reportedly pushed twice to the ground on her stomach.

EMS arrived on scene and treated all three women.

The pregnant victim told WDEF that doctors say her baby was ok.

Davenport is no stranger to trouble. In December of last year, he was convicted of illegal possession of a firearm.

Davenport’s next court date is July 23.
