World of Wheels heats up in downtown
Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) — Tennessee Valley residents escaped the cold weather to look at some hot rods inside today.
It’s part of the World of Wheels event.
Visitors can check out about 170 cars of all kinds from all over the country.
There are also activities for the kids.
Organizers say this isn’t your ordinary car show.
“Our show is different from outdoor shows and other car shows in the way they’re displayed. It’s kind’ve like framing a piece of fine art, and just putting it in an art gallery, when they put the display around it, the ropes and statues and stuff and it’s set in place. It’s just a big art galley actually, and the guys have a good time showing off what they’ve done, what they own,” says Sonny McLean, producer of World of Wheels.
World of Wheels will be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center again Sunday from 11am until 6pm.
And the original Dukes of Hazzard stars will be on-hand from noon until 4pm.
