27th annual Autumn Children’s Festival at the Riverpark

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) – Some Chattanooga residents enjoy today’s nice weather to raise money for a good cause.

Thousands came out to the Tennessee Riverpark today for the 27th annual Autumn Children’s Festival.

It’s the largest one in the Tennessee Valley.

Event goers enjoyed everything from inflatables and arts and crafts, to pumpkin decorating and a petting zoo.

Money raised from activities here will go toward Ronald McDonald House Charities.

“We’re all about keeping families close at the Ronald McDonald House…. This event is fun for the whole community, but it’s also a time to give back to families in need,” says Victoria Winchester with the Ronald McDonald House.

Winchester says the non-profit hopes to raise $65,000 this weekend.

The festival runs again Sunday from one to five pm.
