2nd Annual Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF)- Runners laced up their sneakers for a good cause today.

Karen Lawrence and her family started a run in 1979 for Karen’s Leukemia treatments.

Now– the family has named Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga as the sole beneficiary of the run.

It is now called the Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence.

Bethany Ramsey, with the Ronald McDonald House, says, It’s awesome because it is a merge of Ronald McDonald House people with people that have been apart of the Karen Lawrence run. There’s a runner here that has been running for 40 years in every single run. And Karen’s boyfriend from 6th grade and my good friends from elementary school still come to every run.”

This was the second annual run.

The group raised $20,000 the first time.

Running into the weekend!
RMHC Run4Kids is TOMORROW and we are gathering our spirit gear and gearing up to run, walk and…
