3-in-1 Toothbrush wins LAUNCH Youth Entrepreneurship Competition
(CHATTANOOGA, Tenn) – Some Brainerd High school students get an extra $2,500 to help pay for college or start up a business.
It’s all thanks to LAUNCH’s Youth Entrepreneurship Competition.
The 3-in-1 Toothbrush took the top prize at the LAUNCH pitch competition.
It’s for travelers and people on the go because it contains a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss all in one unit.
The goal of the LAUNCH’s 10 week program is to teach kids the pathway to success.
Derrelle Roshell serves as LAUNCH’s Youth Program Assistant. He said, “We go in, in August and we teach a 10-week program just teaching them finances, marketing plans, how to come up with an idea, how to think outside of the box, and after that, we give them that, and they come up with a problem they see in their community, and if they can develop a solution for it. And then they turn that into a business. And then at the end of the 10 weeks they participate in a pitch competition, so all of these schools come together and they pitch in this pitch competition.”
