The Alexa tech conference is coming to Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The race to command the smart house of the future will run through Chattanooga early next year.
The Alexa Conference is coming here on January 17th.
The conference today announced that EPB will be a major corporate sponsor.
The annual gathering of developers for the Alexa app from Amazon should draw hundreds of tech experts from around the world.
“We’re excited the Alexa Conference chose Chattanooga, and we’re looking forward to hosting entrepreneurs and developers who are using voice-enabled tech to grow the innovation economy,” says Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke.
Dr. Ahmed Bouzid, the head of Amazon’s Alexa/ Connected Home product development will be the keynote speaker.
EPB will lead a tour of the city for the tech talant attending the conference.
And they will sponsor the Alexathon, a competition to develop an Alexa skill during the actual conference.

The Alexa Conference runs from January 17-20, 2018 at the new venue, 2 on a Roof on the northshore.
