Dalton Police Seek Man Wanted In Cologne Theft
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) – The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who stole more than $200 worth of cologne from an area store.
Police are hoping someone will recognize the shoplifter from surveillance pictures, or perhaps just his pleasant aroma.
The theft happened on September 9th at the Kohl’s on Shugart Road.
A dark-skinned male with close-cropped dark hair and a trimmed beard wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans with white sneakers and black shoelaces entered the store and began to remove boxes of cologne from a shelf. The suspect then took bottles out of their boxes, removed each bottle’s security tag, and then concealed the bottles in his pants. The suspect then left the store and drove away in a maroon colored van.
In all, the man got away with $222 worth of cologne. Pictures of the suspect are included below.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to please contact Officer Matthew Ray at 706-278-9085, extension 9153 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
