47-year-old injured in Wilson Street shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — One person has been injured following a shooting near the 1500 block of Wilson Street on May 13, 2026.

According to the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD), at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired and found multiple shell casings in the area.

Shortly after, the victim, a 47-year-old man, arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They say the preliminary investigation indicates the victim and suspect are known to one another.

The investigation is ongoing and all leads are being pursued before any charges are filed.

This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
